Yeah it was dual purpose. Yamada, being a touchy gal she is, really wanted it as a "fren hug" but at the same time it was her way to get some skinship with Kyo. It was warm and really made it feel like Anna really felt glad.

Amongst the most-intense of situations was, when in one particular math-class (Algebra), back in high-school, all of the guys were always looking at the most-popular girl in the class-room, and, the most-popular girl in the class-room was always looking at me whilst all the guys were looking at her (this was also actually similar for just about every other class for reasons I couldn't believe or figure out due to my inexperience back in the day, even though guys would automatically assume that I must have had a lot of experience with lots of women and always seem to ask me for relationship-advice). Oups, forgot to mention the actual intense-situation, like, one time where she openly and blatantly praised me like I was some sort of master, and, something else along the lines of wanting to or willing to be my girl-friend, this during class for the whole class-room to hear, much to the «groans» that followed just about all of the other guys in the class-room...

Each and every class seemed to have the most-popular (therefore considered the hottest) girl seemingly wanting my attention, done in such ways that made it extremely obvious, anyway, our similar-experiences lets us be able to share some comradery !
